Future Of JAT Long Haul?

What do you think the future of the JAT long haul fleet and market will be?

I suggest they sell their DC-10 and get 2-3 A310's from Airbus if they are still being built. At least until the A330-??? (I forgot the designation) comes around. An A330-200 would be too big at this point.

They should resume service to JFK and YYZ and continue to fly to Beijing.

What do you think?

I think that JAT must establish strong international network, and add more frequences on services flown. Building up of regional flights, such as those to Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania would probably result positively on feeding up intecontinental services.

And then of course, the US and Canada are inevitable option. And definitely, in short-term yes, but on loneger term a replacement for DC-10 is crucial!
My opinion.

With the other of the A319's and appareantly A318's I think that is what JAT is trying to do, increase frequency. They want to increase frequency of flights but also decrease capacity slightly so they can fill the more frequent flight.

As far as the fleet is concerened AT LEAST 2 A310-300's or B767-200's should be on order.

Yes, I think North American service is a must fro JAT, but they should also think about resuming flights to Australia(with cheap tickets it might be interesting for passengers from Western Europe too!) and South Africa.

I saw a commercial with A330 with JAT colours on it and taht is why I said JAT should buy them.

As for me, I would buy some B-767-300ER for JAT!

I think that Aleksandar saw the commercial in some Serbian newspapers, It is quite a lot that JAT is talking about fleet modernization, they were Boeing & Douglas customer (remember the first B733) but now I think that they are MOSTLY Airbus oriented. I'll ask a friend of mine that works in JAT in BGD to find the scan or something and I'll let you know, if Aleksandar did not do that first.
