Starting today, 9th October:
* LH will send its very brandnew Airbus A340-600 (with F-Class. most probably 'D-AIHN') to Toronto on daily flight LH 470 (but only until end of october).
* Bangalore gets the Boeing 747-400 on the daily flight LH 754 instead of the A340-300.

excellent news for *A pax looking to go direct to BLR. The earlier 343 was normally sold out in all classes a few days in advance. It will be interesting to see whether the 744 manages to fill up on most days, or is there not so much demand.
I'd love to look at a trip report from someone on the first flight to/from BLR! I hope we have a writer on board

Lufthansa has always been expensive. I am flying to BLR in December and am having to go BA SEA-LHR-BLR because Lufthansa First Class was so expensive. It was $14,000, which is absurd when you are travelling in a group of four.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

The LH 744 Y class is a disgrace....I would never choose to fly LH in Y class ever again (and that's all I can afford, unfortunately)......the LH 346 is just the opposite....the most fantastic Y class cabin I have ever flown.....

I have to agree with you GrCircle , i tried both LH 744 and A343 . There is no comparison between the leg room and comfort , the A343 wins .

Unfortunately, LH will be the only A346 operator to YYZ. Not that I'm glad AC cancelled their A346s in favor of 773ERs, but the lengthened A340-600 is an impressive sight nonetheless....

Great for 2 reasons:
i) Im not great at TRs
ii) Not really expecting much from an LH 744 in economy class. Although I am looking forward to good old channel 9 on UA
