I read in Skyliner Aviation that Saudia B747-400 HZ-AIZ is being transferred to the Saudi Royal Flight. It is a shame that this B747-400 will not be operating passenger flights for Saudia Arabian Airlines in the future. The removal of this aircraft will reduce the Saudia Arabian Airlines B747-400 fleet to 4 aircrafts. I presume Saudia did not have the need for the operation of 5 B747-400s?

Saudia purchased 5 744 with an order for 22 777 about 13 years ago. The airline also has 10 743's from the mid 1980's. The 777 handle most of the international traffic, the 744 go to JFK regularly. I don't know what other destination they fly them too. Saudia's need for 744 is less then its need for 777, Saudia should be ordering new planes soon. 748's, A380's or more 777's we shall fave to see.
