Are Not All Cockpit Controls Duplicated?

Hi, I was looking as this photo on a.net and wondered what the black lever was used for that is sitting on the small table to the front and slightly left (Pilots) side, it almost looks like a joystick lying on its side, and why there isnt a duplicate on the (1st Officers) right hand side.

That's the nose gear steering tiller.

Some aircraft have them on both sides, some do not. It is not specific to the type aircraft - some CRJ100s have them on both sides, some do not, even though all CRJ100s. It's a customer option I believe. Same with other aircraft.

You also get certain instruments and switches that are either Captain or F/O operated, depending on importance and aircraft.

That is the tiller wheel as stated above.For the airline i work for it was not ordered for the fo's side because it would be an extra system that would require maintenance that they feel was not needed.  airplane
