I made this for my father in-law about 5 years ago. While moving to a new computer I found it.
We used to give him such a bad time since he only worked what seemed liked 5 days a month. So I made him this guide on how to successfully be a airline pilot.
You can view the PDF here. View the PDF here! - Parody I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Bobbi
An excerpt:
You arrive to work only to realize that the company
you work for, currently flies more that one type of
aircraft. Not to worry,in the back of this manual you will
find a cheat sheet that will help you identify the plane
you currently fly.
After some confusing stuff back in the terminal,
people using words like destination and weather
conditions, you are driven out to your plane. (Note:
these preceding and proceeding instructions assume that you have
successfullyfoundtheairport. If this is not the case, please contact one of the
taxi companies listed on the cheat sheet in the back of this manual.)

Once in the cockpit, you may notice many unfamiliar and intimidating
buttons and levers. Not to worry, the majority of these gadgets are merely for
looks. Like any good Fisher-Price toy they turn and make noise but have no
purpose.

I love the part about flying the right plane for the wrong company!!!
LMFAO!!!!
(When my dad was leaving for a trip, I just to kid him and ask where he was going, how many engines on his plane, etc. Ahh, the memories...)
A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great landing is if the aircraft can be flown again.

Would you consider sending in the manuscript to a publisher after affixing a Copyright statement to the webpage and restricting all publication rights and copying rights to yourself first ? IMHO this document has a lot of potential to be a best seller, if you put your mind to it and get an editor who has dealt with humour articles, mini-novels, picture books etc. If you need any help on this, please say so, I might be able to brainstorm. But for now, can I suggest you modify your document with a copyright disclaimer, to protect your future rights, and then also study: http://www.copyright.gov
I would think the manuscript holds promise as toungue-in-cheek comedy production.
