Wow, if this is really going to be their new image, congratulations on a very nice and stunning livery!!! Very nice I must say. Is the hummingbird typical for Trinidad & Tobago?
P.S. What is the rate at which the aircraft will receive this new livery? How many aircraft will be painted in this new livery by May next year and on which routes are the first newly painted aircraft most likely to be used on?

I like it. I like it a lot. The Eurowhite is a bit too much and I would hate to see it dirty, but I like the oversized hummingbird.. very cool. I hope there are more decals than just the hummingbird.

Yes it is very typical. I can't remember exactly but we've either got the most species or all the species of humming birds in the world and on a per capita basis, our overall bird species on a per capita basis is unrivalled! Asa Wright is big in Trinidad specifically for birdwatching!
I like it, but it's a radical departure from BWs livery. Very complicated- must be expensive to maintain all that detail!
Also notice the T&T and Barbados flags- not just T&T....hmmmmm

Things i like. They are still keeping the with warmth of the islands. The humming bird is nice but the purple colour and font of the letters are hideous to say the least. I would have prefered to see the scarlet ibis on the tail. The humming bird is in the court of arms of Trinidad and Tobago.
IMHO it is about the sunjet names are brought back.

As a former BeeWee employee (and someone who can go back far enough to have flown on one of the 727s!), I still think it's very sad that BWIA is disappearing, but...
The new livery is very nice. I think a different font would have been cool and not " a la Pan Am"*. Isn't it going to be hard to maintain such a detailed paint job?
*huge lettering across the fuselage (small and above the windows towards the front looks better in my opinion)
I'm surprised that they are announcing JFK, MIA, YYZ, and LHR! I thought there were going to be cuts to some routes?
Also, why the Barbados flag??? Did my little country buy a stake in the airline?

Looking at the route map, looks like ANU is going to be the big loser. Flights to JFK, YYZ as well as non-stops to POS(!) will be cut. I wonder what routing the ???-ANU-LHR flight will have.

That's not a Barbados flag. It's a Caricom flag. Now why that's on there is anyone's guess. Maybe they're trying to copy the EU, where a lot of carriers have the EU flag on their planes.

That´s not the Barbados flag next to the Trinidad & Tobago flag, but it´s the flag of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (or CARICOM ) as displayed here:
The flag of Barbados looks different as you can see below here:

All in all I am pleasantly surprised, I was very skeptical how the old livery
could be outdone but this comes fairly close to doing so.
I agree with Turk23 a different "font" could be used for the name Caribbean
Airlines. However, employing the hummingbird on the tail is positively stunning
as its depicted. The fact that a trini national symbol the hummingbird is so prominently featured as was the "steel pan" in the old livery is very reassuring.
There are many things yet to know about the new "Caribbean" but surely
this is a great start!

Hmmm not bad. The bird has to stay, that looks really nice. However they need to something more with the body. The large print I don't like too much. Love the hummingbird can't get over it. Very different to BWIA's colours though.

Sorry- bad eyes: I shud have looked closer!!!
The rationale behind putting the CC flag would be perhaps more symbolic at the start, but i suspect that some form of legislation or Caribbean ratitification must be on the cards soon whereby all ships and a/c etc would have to display the CC flag and as an option the flag of the island they are in! Just a guess really, but PM Manning is hoping to be known as father of the Caribbean, just as Dr. E. Williams was known as father of the nation (T&T).

As I have said already I love the new livery. When I first read about BW being replaced by a new airline I thaught like, there goes a very nice livery with the steel pan and turqouise/yellow colors. But now that I have seen the livery of Caribbean Airlines I was like, wow, job very well done! Even for a Eurowhite livery it looks very stunning. I even love the font and the different coloring of the letters. It makes the livery less greenish so to speak, so an excellent choice in my opinion. I do agree with the ones who find this livery expensive to maintain especially the hummingbird on the tail. That will require very detailed precision work to apply on this part of the aircraft if for any reason it has to be removed for maintenance and re-applied. Other than that, the livery is awesome!!!!
And AA1818, now that you say it I do reading in the past that most hummingbirds do live in T&T, I forgot about it so it is an excellent choice.
Like I've asked already, does anyone know at what rate the aircraft will receive this new livery and where the first newly painted aircraft will be flying too? The reason why I ask is because I want to photograph this beauty once it flies. If Caribbean Airlines will fly to CUR soon that would be even better for me!!! But AA1818 said chances are very small Caribbean Airlines will start flying to CUR any time soon....
