The cruising alt was between 1000-2000 mtrs. The plane was bound for Boras, but due to bad weather they decided to stop over at Sturup. There were no distress calls when the plane disappeared from the ATC. The parts of the ac found floating on the water indicates that the impact was close to vertical and very violent. (Note: this is so far ONLY an indication!!).
Flying representatives interviewed on the news said they had never seen such a fast dive from cruising altitude to impact.

The motor was a diesel engine, and diesel engines has been discussed a lot here because of safety concerns.

Three persons disappeared. So far not found.
God bless their souls.

This may not have anything to do with the engine. It seems you are jumping to conclusions. There could be many other explanations, such as pilot disorientation, resulting in an out of control steep spiral, (think JFK Jr) or a different system failure, such as controls, or the airplane could have stalled and gone in vertically.

Or, there could have been an engine failure of some sort, but then the aircraft can normally still glide to a forced landing, unless the pilot stalls it when making the attempt.

I start to think about birdstrike, lot of birds fly south this time of the year, big birds. Anyway, here´s the link of the pilot, http://www.expressen.se/index.jsp?a=721557
None of the bodies has been found, parts of the airplanes has... Sad

The main wreckage has been found at 39 meters depth, 2 or 3 bodies has been found, may their souls rest in peace.

I fly that aircraft once in awhile (the 100LL version), it's a really fun plane, but it's not very hearty in terms of sheer ruggedness- it wouldn't take much to smash it apart and not find another piece.
