Well, things are looking up a bit for Airbus in october, especially on the a32x front. What's that PanAm_DC10? 79 firm orders for october? IIRC you were keeping count.  Smile

From the Airbus website:

"The newest ACJ Family member is the A318 Elite, which flies eight passengers up to 4,100 nm and offers greater levels of cabin comfort than currently available with competing business jets."

i found it a great plane!

Also very good news for airbus! despite the fact that im a boeing fan, i really hate to see what happens in toulouse at the moment. Hope they will catch more orders before years end. KL A330 follow up order is in the pipeline, we just have to wait for the official announce.

Not quite sir. 79 is what they need to book in october to sell more than the 77 they sold in the same month, 2005.

Jet Alliance had 2 options to excericse, which it appears they have done.

This is wonderful news Manni. It's always great to see the A318 gather some new orders.

It also goes to prove that Airbus went in the right direction in offering the A318 as a private jet.

Just in case anyone was looking for a link to the article:

Does anyone have a recent break down into the number of A318 sold and how many of these are for the A318 Elite?

Just going by the Airbus website - it reckons that they've sold a total of 90 A318s and I only know of Jet Alliance ordering the Elite - these are their 2nd and 3rd planes. But I'm likely to be wrong - someone please correct me!

Well it looks like I will have to do it my self  Smile

A318/A318 Elite Orders

Air France x 18
Comlux x 3 (Elite)
National Air Service x 2 (Elite)
Frontier x 9 (Direct from Airbus)
Gecas x 12 (all delivered and leased to Mexicana x 10 and Frontier x 2)
LAN Airlines x 20 (first with the PW6000)
US Airways x 15 (Interesting to see what happens)
Tarom x 4 (Interesting to see what happens)
Jet Alliance x 3 (Elite)
Private Customes x 6 (Elite)

Total A318 Orders: 92 frames. (Elite = 14 frames)

I remain rather sceptical about US and Tarom taking up their A318 on order, but hopefully this will not be the case.

Wings
