as many of you are aware AA has dropped the SJC-NRT flight. but for those of you that are wondering. The final outbound flight from SJC-NRT is on 27OCT, (departure is schduled for 12:25pm in case anyone wants to shoot some pics) and the final inbound flight comes in on the 28OCT (schduled arrival is 10:05am)
Did a little digging around and found that final departure of the 777 from SJC is this:
AA flt.#2222 SJC
San Jose 10/28/2006
12:00 PM DFW
Dallas/ Fort Worth 10/28/2006
05:15 PM 777 Economy
View Seats 1438 3 hr 15 min
My question is does anyone have any info if AA or SJC airport is doing anything special on either the 27th or the 28th to commemorate the end of the 777 and NRT service into SJC? any info would be gladly appreciated.

Wouldn't that be like celebrating losing the super bowl or the Oakland Raider Season? I think they are moving Mexicana into AA's old gates so we at SJC can pretend will still have international service.

a classmate of mine told me they were going to have a water gun salute...not sure if that is happening.

MX is already in Terminal A.....
Quoting TokyoNarita (Reply 3): Quite frankly, this flight should have ended a long time ago. I am actually surprised AA sat on this for so long.
Why? The route was making money only until recently......
