About a week when i went to chicago i flew WN. On the ramp was an unmarked 767. How could a 767 land at mdw isnt the runway way to short for those beasts. Im 100 % sure it was a 767. Any one no what it was doing at mdw?

Quoting Beech19 (Reply 4): Anyone know what is near the WN hangar at Midway?
Nothing is close by the WN hangars. It probably was 757.

Wasn't there a rumor ATA was getting a used 767? and the WN hangar was formerly ATA's correct? Could that be possible?

This one is a Pace Airlines Boeing 757-200 (reg. N757BJ). The aircraft arrived in MDW at 11:17pm last night. It took the Minnesota Timberwolves to Chicago for their game against the Chicago Bulls tonight.

Obviously FII2993 is pretty confident. No offense to anyone in here... but a 757 and 767 are very difficult to confuse. The nose, fues, over all size, and height. You gotta be blind to confuse them...
I guess MAYBE from a very long distance away but to a trained eye its still very obvious.
A 767 could have easily been there. For what? Who knows... My guess is a charter or biz-jet though. There is always a good reason.

The flight information is from Flightaware.com. I know its the Timberwolves because I the Timberwolves are travelling with Pace Airlines this year and they were in GRR for a game on Oct 18.

It does appear that FII2993 is very confident.
However, it is possible to confuse a B757 for a B767...depending on the angle and distance away from the aircraft you'd be amazed. I admit to wrongly spotting a B767 before.
25 AirportPlan: I just talked to someone who works in airport operations at MDW. A 767 WAS NOT AT MDW. Most likely you saw a 757. Just to be clear while technically a

30 AirportPlan: ATA never had 767s. They have L1011s which never came to MDW. The largest ATA aircraft ever at MDW were 757-300 which have since been sold.

34 Wjcandee: They actually also had a DC-10-10 (N183AT), the "City of Indianapolis". As noted above, 184, the flambe plane, was a -40, but whatever.[Edited 2006-1

39 N1120A: Why would they have to do that? I mean, with just a ferry crew, the plane should have been plenty light to make a hop to ORD.
40 ChiGB1973: It wasn't a 767 unless there was some extreme emergency and we probably would have heard about that. The 767 is not allowed at MDW. This discussion co
