Hey,
I was wondering if Roots Air of Toronto is going to begin operations next month as schedualed. The airline originally said that operations will begin in November. Are they planning to order more Airbus A320's And A330's? How many are they getting. And what are the new destinations in the United States they are going to be serving. I hope that KFLL FT.Lauderdale will be one to give Air Transat, Royal and Canada 3000 some competition.

Startup is to be next spring, as they found it tough to get aircraft, and didn't want to start up in the slow winter season. Last I heard they'll start with 5 aircraft: 320's, and 330's. From Toronto they'll start out with Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary flights, at least that was the last I heard, with Winnipeg, Los Angeles, Edmonton, Halifax and Ottawa all to follow later.
These guys are a full service carrier, they won't be competing in the same market as C3/TS/QN.

I thought it was going to start up in the fall here or that is what I read in the news letter. It said it was going to fly the A330 from LAX to YYZ some time in November unless thier plans have changed. I do know that yeah they will use the Airbus A330 and The 320. Is this fleet going to be adopted from Skyservice? Will they be Using C-FBUS as their A330. I hope not that take has PW4068 engines and is almost 6 years old. C'mon Roots go with RR TRENT.

No they are not going to use C-FBUS, nor will any of the SSV 320's be converted to ROOTSAIR, Skyservice the charter airline will remain in operation operating apart from ROOTS.......

I would have to disagree with Slawko. I was talking to one of Skyservices lear35 pilots the other day, and he told me that they have ordered another 330 for startup. I'm not sure what the final count will be however. They are going to use the 320's as his next position within the company will be on one operated for Roots.
