Great photos! I particularly like the last one, with the TAAG 737, and the 2(!!) SQ 77Ws in the background.

I agree that the livery looks great on the 772. Not too much white when compared to the A346 or 744.

What engines does THai Have ? They look like Rolls Royce on the photos. Could they be GE?

If it looks like an apples, smells like an apple and tastes like an apple. It's probably an apple. Big grin

Looking at the last photo, is it just me, or is the registration in an odd place? It appears to be on the cargo door. Or am I just seeing things funny?

Awesome shots, and nice weather too! Thai's new scheme is one of the most elegant around, one of those schemes you never get tired of looking at. Great job!

No it's going to be 34 inch pitch - THAI always have a generous long haul seat pitch. Thai 772ER will also have AVOD in economy along with in C

There are actually rumours about THAI ordering more (maybe 10) but don't know if it will ever materialize.

Nope. The 31 inch pitch on the old B777's was for regional use only, when they also crammed 3-4-3 in Y, and 2-4-2 in J!!

Yes, 12 per week terminators... ie. delinked from SYD.
First one comes in on 29 October..

TG981/982.
immediate rotation, which means 1 aircraft for 5pw is fine...

12:15a BKK 1 1:25p MEL 2 TG 981 Non-stop 777 9:10

5:30p MEL 2 10:40p BKK 1 TG 982 Non-stop 777 9:10

I'll take 3-4-3 in Y with 34' seat pitch than 3-3-3- or 2-5-2 with 31' seat pitch any day of the year.. spin

It's interesting to read all the positive replies in this thread about Thai's livery. I recall a couple of years ago(?) when this new livery was introduced...All the comments like "too much Euro-white" or "looks like a UPS rip-off" etc. I do like it myself, although I've never seen it in person.

The last TG's 777-200A (HS-TJC), which has a 2-4-2 and 3-4-3 seating arrangement, was sent into the hangar for reconfiguration about a week ago. So now if you book TG flight and it shows code 772, you are definitely going to fly the retrofitted 777. And if the code says 777, then you are about to fly on the new 772ER.

See you no more, the cramped 3-4-3 seat configuration on TG's 777s!

26 FlyEmirates: EK please take note, I dont know how they can get away with their cramped configurations especially in J, all flights fairly full so pax dont seem to

28 Thaiaggie: just rumoured
29 6thfreedom: So what's the config on the older B772s going to be?? 2-3-2 in J like MH and 3-3-3 in Y? or are they sticking with a 2-2-2 in J like their A346s. Per
