Hello all.
We all know AF is the only European airline to have B777-300ER and AC will be the only North and South American carrier to have B777-300ER, whats the chance of BA and KL operating B777-300ER? We all know lots of Asian and Middle Eastern carriers have them. If IB opt for B777-300ER instead of A340-600 that would be interesting for another euorpean carrier but for now its only AF. Your comments are appreciating.

BA is considered by many to be a "probable" as they have some ten 777 options that they may convert to orders.

IIRC...KL is slated for some -300ER's....
BA have slots reserved for 777's...while they might just take more -200ERs, there is a possiblity they will take some -300ERs..would look mighty fine in BA colours!

I honestly expect BA to replace their 747-400s with 773ER's. They might order a few 747-8i aircraft, but I'm not sure.
Then, on the other hand, they could pull a wildcard and go Airbus. We'll find out soon enough, supposedly.

The 777-300ER will look awesome on both BA & KL liveries.
Here are some previews of how they'll look like:

Quoting PanAm_DC10 (Reply 6): ...and they will have to order by year end otherwise the slots maybe harder to come by..
Hi PanAM_DC10...thanks for the info..
I hope they indeed make the order... ..
Maybe that is why BA have stated they are going to have an RFP soon...

I'm not sure
On one hand BA could do with some a/c in between the 200ER and the 747 but I am aware that the 747's are in huge demand, to the point of BA needing more. So I have a feeling BA will place a big order for either 747 INtecontinentals or A380's with mayeb a few 777' and 787' to operate on the routes out of LGW and smaller density LHR routes!

Quoting PHKLM (Reply 9): Any source to back this ILFC deal up?
No source I can link to sir other than the add on order for 2 773ER ILFC made at Farnborough this year. The was to point out that I am only providing my opinion due the the absence of a linked source which you, and others, require.

Quoting MauriceB (Reply 12): As far as i know KLM orderd only 4 777-300ER's, which are ex-777-200ER orders.
Your line of reasoning must be (3+5)/2=4
There's 3 firm orders on the Boeing website; apparently there's a rumour of 2 more frames ordered via ILFC. Time will tell.
