The only two I'm aware of are a 767 FO with Gulf Traveller (part of GF) and an A330 FO, with GF.

That's all in Gulf carriers, but NOT all in Arab/Islamic countries; PIA, Royal Jordanian, Tunis Air and RAM have female pilots too.

I did my SEP recurrent a few months ago at EK and I met our first female cockpit crew, a Brazilian, ex Varig F/O. Apparently there is another female, of Omani decent training as we speak, in Adelaide, South Australia! Wish them all the best of luck! Hope to see more of them here!

There is a female Qatari pilot and a female Saudi Arabian pilot either already a F/O or in training (amazing how women there can't drive but can fly)!

Because driving would bring hisgillah in some people's liver  Wink , and unfortunately these people's views are imposed on everyone.

She doesn't work at SV, she was hired by al-Waleed. Working at SV would've been a lot more difficult with the aforementioned people around to make a stink.

That's a simple problem to solve -- just remove the livers of such people.  Wink

Would this guy object if he flew QR or EK if the female f/o didn't have a hijab? Heaven forefend...

At least he apologized, but even then, it doesn't excuse the fact that he, ahem, still thinks that way! Incredible.  crazy

It's not about trusting or not trusting them....it's just the general oppression of females in those parts....
