I heard many of the people involved in design, testing & certification are frustrated because they produced what proves to be an excellent aircraft which but this has completely been overshadowed by the production issues / management shake ups.

It's such a shame - they've made a great plane but they can't get the production line running properly

Well no doubt about that the A380 is probably performing wery well and the continuing trust of the airlines is clearly showing that. An almost two year delay is a problem now but in the long run this should not prevent the A380 from making a profit...

Forgot to add - that's great news for the programme (finally).
Does anyone know what they're going to do with the development a/c then. I know they're going to eventually be sold to EY but will they all then stop flying for refitting - ie we might have the plane certified but then not flying for a few months?

IIRC, hasn't Airbus already announced that two of the thirteen projected deliveries in 2008 will be former flight-test aircraft refurbished/refitted for EY, and that these deliveries will be in advance of those to EK?
