Presidio Lely International (Presidio, TX) has a 5,200' runway, but there are bound to be int'l airports with shorter strips...

An International airport is just one where a customs agent works and commercial or private flights can land from other countries. One right next to where I live has a 6200' runway.

Any particular reason you are keeping the name a secret?

Jefferson County International Airport still had a grass strip 20 years ago. It is a sprawling complex consisting of a small restaurant, a commercial air taxi service and a half dozen GA hangers. Parking is a real bargain - 7 days for $0.

It has a single 3,000 ft runway.

It is an international airport because customs is available and it is a port of entry.

Yeah, actually, I did not want to start off some un needed arguements on how it is NOT an intl airport YET, where I know it will become one in the weeks to come and because I could not confirm its 6200 ft runway. It is Santa Maria, CA (SMX), by the way.
