The 727 tribute post got me thinking, freight carriers aside, who still operates the 727 for passenger service. I'm pretty sure they're all gone in the U.S. I have not flown on one since 1996, which was a Kiwi MDW-ATL roundtrip.

There's nothing quite like a tri-jet.

I am sure many African carriers still fly this.

In the US there are several airlines which still have some flying, Miami Air, Champion Air, Pan Am and Falcon Air did just some months ago.

Several private ones are flying too like Donal Trump's one.

Down here in Latin America, I can only think about frieghters, many many of those, but of course we have LAB - Lloyd Aereo Boliviano flying it to Miami and Dulles via Panama.

Right now only ones I can think of, as soon as I remember some more I'll let you know.

Cheers!
Tomas.

The wretched Pan Am Clipper Connection flies them, as does Champion Air.

Tired of airline bankruptcies....EA/PA/TW and finally DL.

Nomads Travel Club operates a -200 from Detroit. IIRC Cargojet Canada has/had a -200 flying sun charters.

Aeropostal and TAME had them still just recently, and AeroGal of Ecuador still flies them from GYE and UIO to the Galapagos if I'm not mistaken.

As I know 7F only operate two B727-200F, all B727-100 Combi are gone (no one B727-200 Combi build).

I'm sorry, I think that C-GXFA is a B727-233Adv.(F) like the C-FUFA.

Look at the pic link i posted it is an interior of C-GXFA "freighter". It has many passenger seats for a freighter, Especially since the picture is from 2006  wink

GS

Oh and btw and if you need it more clear than me saying i humped seats in and out I can make it totally clear.....I work at 7F in the QA dept/ maintenance.....You can think what you like.....But I know...

JAT Airways

JAT Airways sadly retired its last B727 almost a year ago. I last flew on it some 2,5 years ago TIV-BEG and it still was a "WhisperJet".

Kelowna Flightcraft has a B727-200 parked at CYYZ

registration: C-GWKF

It usually fills in on charter duties for SunWing or Skyservice - at least they did that last winter.
