DL Charters At RDU 10/28

There were two 738's parked at the GA ramp at RDU yesterday around 6PM (one departed around 6:10). Anyone know what they were doing?

One was CHO-RDU University of Virginia in town to play North Carolina State.

Let me be the first to say that I am glad that they used the General Aviation Terminal for Charter flights. That's the most brilliant idea to me since it isn't used for much anything else. I only hope that RDUAA continues to use it for such reasons. I sent them an email last year suggesting it because it is so underutilized and makes more sense for Charters to load/unload in a terminal than over where they used to. At least if they use the GA Terminal, they might get more business at the Cafe there.. get some increased revenue.. Sheesh..

I wonder if they put a TSA machine in there???

I wonder if they could bus international arrivals/departures to/from customs?

Then they can call it the General Aviation/Charters Terminal!

Umm this game was in Charlottsville, VA. Perhaps NC State returning in defeat at 6:00 P.M or perhaps the Tampa Bay Lightning in town to play Carolina Hurricanes.
