Air Canada At MDW?

Last Thursday (10/26/06) I saw an Air Canada A319 or A320 (I couldn't tell, I only got a quick look at the tail and upper part of aircraft) at MDW taxing near the B concourse. I didn't think Air Canada served MDW. It was windy, raining, and low visibility that day. Does anyone know if it was a diversion or something. If it helps, the aircraft was in the new Air Canada colors.

Could have been AC Jetz on a sports charter.

AC did serve MDW until the mid 60s with, progresively, DC-3s, North Stars, Viscounts, and Vanguards.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

More then likely, it was the Jetz Charter taking the Raptors to the windy city to play the Bulls in pre-season action. I will check out to get confirmation that was the reason

Checked the Raptors schedule, it was most likely a Jetz Charter since they were playing the following night.

I thought they would land at O'hare so AC wouldn't have to worry about outsourcing handling to a ground handling company and MDW. I guess they couldn't get any slots.

Yea, I was shocked to see it. I thought it was a diversion. That makes sense though.

I don't know a lot about the sport charters, but aren't the Raptors from Canada? My best guess is that they were at Boston playing and then moved to Chicago.

It was an A320.

Cheers!
Tomas.
