Hi, are there any new german-US flights in sight?
I know, LH will fly to Phoenix and Denver next year and United will fly Denver-FRA.
But what about the other US-cariers?
NW has only one daily flight to Germany, not much!
TWA has none! (OK, they have other problems, but I think a FRA-St. Louis flight (767-200) could work.).
AA only flies to Frankfurt!
Delta have some flights, but they probably could expand as well as Continental.
Hope, the USAir flights will stay due to the merger US/UA.

Continental might open up IAH-FRA. Lufthansa has a monopoly on this route at the moment and Houston
Intercontinental is Continental's biggest hub airport,
with close to 530 daily departures. Continental may
also restart Newark-Munich flights. They did fly the
route during 1993 but dropped it after seven month
due to low yields. Although Newark was a hub for
Continental at the time, the airline had just flown
out of bankruptcy for the second time. A DC10-30
was used to operate this route.
Trans World Airlines will begin STL-FRA flights soon
with the Boeing 767-300ER.
United might also complement its existing BOS-LHR
with a BOS-FRA flight.
Lufthansa is also said to be considering San Diego
as a possible US gateway.

Lufthansa is planning a non-stop from Munich to LA on a 747 (I don't know if it's -200 or -400.) Or did they already start that service, I don't think so, that will be really good for connections to places in Southern Europe like Italy, Turkey, Greece and Israel; to where there are not any non-stop flights presently. Does this mean that they might stop one of their 2 FRA-LAX services? I doubt it but will they maybe have to get another gate, maybe use one of United's for part of the day? Who knows?
