When you board a United Airlines Jet through a jetway, is there a banner at the end that says something like "Thanks for flying the friendly Skys"? There was in New Orleans. But I dont remeber the jetway in Chicago.
Also, do you like those "Snack Boxes" that United serves in coach during Breakfast? I like them. The Banana Bread was from a bakery in Chicago. There was also yougert and orange juice. Everything tasted delicious. Did they serve these on your flight?
How come when you board a 757, you board through the center door and not the door in the very front?
I noticed thats how every 757 boards.

I never notic the sign elsewhere and never taste the breakfast on UA.
The airlines used the second door for boarding to reduce the disturbance to the first and/or business class passengers. Because they also serve pre-flight cocktail to the premium customers up front, they also want reduce the possibility of passengers carrying luggage on the way to the back knocking out champagne carrying flight attendents. It's almost standard practice when you board 747s or other widebodies where there are large number of premium passengers.

I've seen those signs at MSY, along with a few other UA stations, however I have never tried UA's snack boxes...As far as boarding at 2L, JZ hit it right on the mark. By boarding at 2L, it also reduces the boarding time.

I've noticed that most airlines board the 757s through the second door, but American doesn't. The only aircraft that AA boards through the second door are the DC-10, MD-11, and 777. On these planes, the second door is between first class and business. I think they just do it as a convenience to the PAX up front.
