So does that mean they are going to buy 4x 738s as well, or am I reading it wrong? Would they buy 6x 320s now only to buy 4 more by the end of the year? (stranger business deals have happened).

I read it as: next year, they will place further orders for 10 A/C -- split between A and B.

I'm tired of the A vs. B sniping. Neither make planes that shed wings randomly!

I misread the line about the year ahead as by year end.

So, this is 6, and there are still 4 more to buy, since this announcement comes 6 weeks after the statement about 10 738s and A320s. Or am I still missing it?

Yes, I think there are another four to come.

Quoting Brenintw (Reply 4):

And since it's still a long time from a year from September, it could very well be 4 more A320s in 6 months or something like that. It would obviously depend on what their customers were looking for.
