Well, let me check the match schedule of the Bundesliga... Bochum is playing in Berlin and Dortmund is playing in Bremen ... Berlin and Bremen are too far away so it seems that a friend and me will be in DUS to watch the A380. Anyone else there?

Ok, I just got a call and can confirm that we'll be there on Sunday, let's talk about the meeting point later this week. I don't think that we can make it as early as 11 AM but I think that we'll be there at noon or at the latest at 12:30 PM. The problem ist that we're invited to a party on Saturday night and that we have to drive from Soest to DUS on Sunday, but the ride should be no problem, I don't think that there are any traffic jams on a Sunday.
Cool, I can't wait to see the mega-fat A380 at my home airport!

Damn, I just looked for the matchday schedule of the Regionalliga, too bad that the Duesseldorf-Pauli game is on Saturday, I had definitely watched it in the LTU Arena when it had been on Sunday since I am in DUS anyway.
I would love to see the A380 in DUS. Unfortunately, I will fly to CLL on Friday.

Yeah, I live right on the German Dutch border kinda north of between Aachen and Maastricht.
I've been to DUS to pick folks up but don't know the airport too well (other than the damn speed cameras on the way...) where does one go to see the plane? Thanks for any info. I should be in Cologne for the 11th at 11 on Saturday and it will make a good weekend package. Booze, Woman, and Planes!!!

You just have to buy a ticket either at the observation deck at the train station or at the main observation deck. I think it is 2.50Euros and you can use it for both observation decks the whole day long. It also allows you to use the sky train (if its working). However, nobody checks for tickets in the sky train anyway from my experience.

I will be there for sure but until now I don't know what time it will be. Two friends will join me and they want to film the landing of the A380 at 11 AM (they are working on some film project for university). The problem is that one of them can't say yet if he can make it that early (depends on Deutsche Bahn timetable) to my friend's apartment in Soest where we want to meet and start from.
I will let you guys know as soon as I know more (tomorrow, on Friday, or at Saturday at the latest), then we can agree on a meeting point. Additionally we can exchange our mobile phone numbers by eMail, then we can call each other in case we don't find us in the crowd.
