With the success of the daily Emirates flight from Glasgow - Dubai, which included the upgrade to a B773 from an A330, is there any chance that Etihad could start a Glasgow - Abu Dhabi service?
There was talk of Emirates starting a second service to Scotland (either Glasgow or Edinburgh), so could it be possible for Etihad to slip in there before Emirates eventually decide to?

EY were rumoured a while back, whether there was any truth in it is another matter. Their MAN service seems to be doing well, so QR or EY may do well to nip into Scotland before EK expand, but I can't see it in the near future.

I would expect EY (and QR) to go to BHX before EDI or GLA
And if they do ever decide to serve Scotland then do they go to the larger city - GLA, or the city without a Middle Eastern link and larger inbound tourism potential - EDI?
