I am looking for the timetable and fleet size (aka how many 747s, L10s, D93, D94, D95, 722, M80, 752... etc) at TWAs peak. Anyone know where I might be able to find this info. I thought there was a classic timetable site and i cant find it.

Thanks

Matt

A timetable will not give you fleet size. What would help is a JP book of fleets around 87 to 90. I would only guess that would be peak for TWA Mainline.

I have a 90 and a 92 book but I am at the office and it is not handy right now.
Tonight I will post some numbers for you.

The JP book for 90/91 printed in late April of 90 had the following for TWA...

DC9-15 7
DC9-30 38
DC9-40 3
MD-82 30
MD-83 4
727-100 13
727-200 56
767-200 11
L1011 35
747-100 14
747-200 5

ON ORDER A330-300 20
Hope this helps..
remember, they did not pick up the DC 9-50's until after EA shutdown. The TWA 50's were Easterns.

You may want to look at the TWA entry in the following site (see alphabetical index at the bottom of the page).

http://www.geocities.com/~aeromoe/

Unfortunately, as explained at the beginning, this site hasn't been updated since the late 1990s, but for earlier US airline fleet details I have always found it to be an excellent information source. It lists virtually every aircraft operated by all US airlines from the days of the DC-3, with details of registration, consruction/serial numbers, delivery/retirement dates, previous operator where applicable, aircraft written off in accidents etc. etc. Since you're interested in TW's fleet when they were at their peak, this should be a good resource.
