Could someone please tell me how many flights per day that El Al Israel has to flights to both London Heathrow and London Stansted airports.

Also, do El Al use the B757 to Stansted?

Any comments appreciated.

TLV-LHR is generally two daily flights (LY315/6 and LY317/8). On Fridays, the LY315 nightstops and the LY317 doesn't operate, and on Saturdays, there are no arrivals, only the evening LY318 departure.

Stansted used to get one flight on a Friday morning (LY215 or LY217), generally operated by B757. There is (or has been in the past) a seasonal service during the winter timetable which operates from VDA (Ovda) to LHR, which has been operated by B737s and B757s.

In the run-up to significant Jewish holidays, there are further timetable alterations, and additional flights, generally into STN, but also into LHR.

Roughly speaking, ex LHR the noon flight is operated by 777s/744s (744s are more casual on TUE,THU,SUN) and the night flight by 767s. The weekly STN flight is operated by 757 and there is a 738 extra flight to LHR on Sunday nights and ex LHR on Monday nights.

Wouldn't it be faster to check LY's schedules in their website? If you start with one day of the week and just click "next days" 6 time, you have their complete schedule (including aircraft types) for the entire week for the selected city pair in a couple of minutes.

Based on my past experience with LY, the aircraft types in their schedules/the BAA website were generally very inaccurate.

Poor EA AL opeates from that Terrible Terminal 1 where the Miami British Airways flights were operated to before Terminal 4. South African also has the undistinguished designation of T1.

if you live in London and that you fly LY, you are lucky to be able to have a 744 or a 777, because, from now on, unfortunately, LY only sends 757s and 767s to Paris...I am disappointed

It s typical of LY to put a different A/C type than what it has been previously published on its timetable or GDSs. But whenever I ve been to LHR, I admit I ve always seen either a 744 or a 777 for the noon flight to TLV,thus, no devations from the published information.
