Delta and US Airways are doing a great job of making things interesting for spotters with their retrojets and special schemes...I can't wait to see how this one will look.

I think everyone will like it. It is light blue, white, and either black or very dark blue. It is as different from DL's livery as the breast cancer plane. The only thing that attaches the plane to Delta is the name on the side.

Well, here she is. A nice livery but it really reminds me of the new Aeromexico colors. Not quite the standout that the breast cancer awareness plane is.

Thanks to PeachAir for getting a photo up so quickly. Nice scheme but for me personally the light blue is not a pretty blue and a little darker shade could have looked really nice. And I am surprised with the aircraft type chosen. I would think for DL to get maxinum exposure for this great cause say a 757 which visits far more stations than a 763-ER which really will only be seen at ATL, JFK and Europe with a few exceptions. Even a 738 would have given DL a lot more exposure. I can appreicate DAL767400ER's coments in Reply 9 but when this bird visits places like DUS, MAD, and WAW will the average person seeing it even know what Habitat for Humanity is ? If I am mistaken I apolgize in advance. This is why US chose the 319 for it's Special present (and maybe future) special schemes as the HP 757's visited to limited a number of stations. Never the less thanks DL for doing another Special Scheme, I will look forward to seeing it on one of my visits to JFK !

Are the engine cowlings going to stay half white/half gray, or have they not completed painting them? It makes it look like a cheap hybrid livery to me. I also think the vertical tail looks out of place. IMHO, It would have made more sense to swap the light blue and navy at the rear of the fuselage and have the navy flow into the vertical tail. All in all, not a big fan.

It would be nicer if they made the interiors of their 763's a 'habitat for humanity' ie. fit for people, before painting the outside. Those poor old crates are appalling inside, desperately in need of a refit. And I'm sorry, but the new B/E doesn't even come close. 2 x 2 x 2 is just not acceptible as long haul J class in a 767 any more (never really was).

I think it looks good..... but then again I do ride around in a bright orange A-Star.....
A question for the forum: I've heard some say that Western Pacific's flying billboards were a good idea, but then why has no other airline done it? Is it viewed as cheap to turn aircraft in to billboards? Thoughts? Comments?

Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 9): N171DZ is an -ER, right? If so, finally a special DL livery after the Soaring spirit that people outside the US will get to see .
where's that Soaring Spirit livery special any other than having a little additional writing on the fuselage? Have I missed something here?

SEAdormer: ah ok, thanks for those pictures... I didn't know Soaring Spirit looked different at a time than she looks now... why did they repaint that plane, then?

Once your national carrier, Air France, learns how to even wash their planes, we will take your criticism seriously. Come on....why bash something that is for a good cause?
Kudos to DL for helping raise awareness to another notable cause!

28 Ikramerica: I would have liked to see a tail like AS though, but with Jimmy Carter's mug slapped on there!! Now that would grab some attention.
29 FlyDeltaJets: Nah highly unlikely as that is an intl 767. By the way its about time that they painted 1701, now i can take it off the list of old colored a/c. but
30 Ag92: I really like the body of the plane but the tail seems quite boring Regards

38 Fanoftristars: Could at least the fuselage on this plane be a look at a possible concept for DL's new livery?
