Apparently Air Canada is studying the possibility of linking Margarita Island with a nonstop flight to Canada after official data shows that Margarita Island received aprox. more than 115 Canadian tourists per day between December 05 and April 06.

Anyone has more details about this? Feasible? 2X weekly A319 from YUL or YYZ?

Saludos desde Caracas,
Luis

My guess would be a YYZ flight using a 319 or 320.The flight would likely be seasonal with 1 or 2 weekly flights.Skyservice still operates charters to Margarita during the winter using a 320 from YYZ.

Guess what???I dont like you either...

Venezuelan island east of Caracas.

American was also looking at flying to Margarita Island, and even flew a few charters there. I haven't heard much recently though, and we probably won't with the current issues between the US Government and Venezuela.

Z4 was operating a few flights to Margarita Island from YOW, and I think this winter season will go from YUL instead through GoTravelDirect. So its about time AC jumped on the bandwagon!

If I'm not mistaken, AC has already served PMV from YYZ in the late 80s and early 90s.

Next flights: YQM-YYZ-YOW v.v. / YQM-CUN v.v. / YQM-YUL-YWG v.v. / YSJ-YYZ-SEA-SFO / SFO-YYZ-YOW-YQM / YQM-YYZ-MUC-TXL /

Maybe through POS or CCS- I don't know where else with links to Canada/ US offers connections to Margarita Is.

Does anyone know is the AC flight to POS is now non-stop or is it still linked to CCS???

A310-A330 sounds like a lot, considering the island apparently only gets 115 Canadian tourists a day. Are you sure these flights are not operated by WestJet, because I know they already operate some holiday flights for Air Transat...
