Even though the times stink, I'm glad they're starting this. They finally realized that even though they've screwed connection times through CLT from the West, people don't always want to go to FLL!
Here's my question. PBI usually reverts to an all Boeing station for the summer. Will this be a seasonal flight or yearly service?

What interesting is i had heard a rumor a while back that prior to the fuel spike US was looking at adding LAS redeyes to i THINK it was PBI BNA JAX PVD and either ORF? or BUF?. Now that PBI and BNA have been announced recently, im wondering if in fact the other cities are next
Experience is what you get when what you thought would work out didn't!

IT about time PBI has a western connection. This route was going to be flown once before by National Airlines in 2001, this was an airline based in Vegas flying 757's owned by a few Casino's in Las Vegas. Sadly it never happened as National became a 9/11 victim and closed went BK.

I think a lot of it has to do with availability of Airbus aircraft on the East side. As it stands now, most of the stations getting LAS red-eye's are East stations only. As I said in my earlier post, PBI usually becomes a Boeing station in the summer. Also, looking at the propsoed LAS-PBI schedule, that flight would arrive back at PBI after the morning originators to PHL and CLT, and just around the time DCA typically leave during the winter months. (CLT and PHL usually have departures between 6-7, followed by a DCA flight. PIT's flight has turned into a noonish departure). I am pretty sure all of PVD's & BUF's originators are off the gate by 7am during weekdays

my pop knew some people who worked for NA and got screwed. it was nice of the hotels to fund and airline. i wish they'd do it again. i thought FLL was mainly used as the alternative option than flying to MIA. guess PBI is getting more service.

If I'm not mistaken, this is West Palm Beach's only service west of Houston/Dallas...nice to see, although I'm somewhat surprised that they (or, hopefully soon, we, fingers crossed) aren't opening up PBI-PHX.
P. S.: I finally got an interview with US on Monday!

The timing of the flight makes perfect sense on the LAS side, as it's part of the big HP bank late at night.

Yeah it's about time to have some western destinations over here! Hopefully this will bring about a trend to add flights to LAX, SFO, etc (on other airlines as well)
