Hi everybody

While I was in Covent Garden in London, on saturday there was a plane flying extremely low and escorted by to fighther planes. Does anyone know what the occasion was?

Yes, it was the RNZAF 757 (New Zealand's Air Force One, so to speak); HM the Queen was opening a new memorial to the many thousands of New Zealanders who died during the wars; many thousands died at Gallipoli and New Zealand troops distinguished themselves during campaigns in North Africa and elsewhere.

Thanks for a quick answer. The planes where going really low. I heard the roaring engines for a while before I actually saw the plane. Made me a bit nervous for a moment.  Wink

Was anyone able to get a picture of this formation?
