I've gotten quite accustomed to my flat beds in J...
I'm taking EK to DXB on Saturday morning. Am I right in assuming that EK does not have flat beds in their J cabin?
As well, is this a two or 3 class configured aircraft? From what I can see on my confirmation the flight will be operated by a 777W designated aircraft
Any shedding of light will be greatly appreciated.

777-300ER (I think it is EK204) or the flight via HAM both have new J class which is lie flat (no flat beds here). These are the new interior a/c. Great, comfy and nice service.

Thanks for the info Mptpa. I'm on the non stop morning flight to DXB.
You wouldn't happen to know if EK will be upgrading to a true flat seat between now and Saturday, would you
Sigh - i just don't sleep well on those sloping things

I did not know the HAM flight is the old seating. Thought all the 77W have the new seating.
Have fun. It is a great flight. I took the 204 last month, and it was great. looking forward to my upcoming trip to SYD on it again, atleast upto DXB is the new setup.

One of my friends just returned from the EK HAM/JFK trip and was said that all 4 sectors had the lie flat seats in business... Will try to find out if it varies or not!

Thanks guys,
I appreciate all the information. I'm on EK 204 to DXB and returning on EK201.
I may go to aucklan on EK418/419 scheduled to be on 773ER. Does this craft have lie flat as well?

Are there any pictures of these new lie-flat business seats? I find the Emirates website to actually be very confusing and not too helpful at times like this.

JFK via HAM is always scheduled with the old 77W J class seats, this can be distinguished by looking on the company intranet at the loads, an economy designation of 304 capacity versus 310 distinguishes between an aircraft planned to have the lie flat seats installed (including overhead crew rest), currently A6-EBQ onwards. Equipment does change as a result I have flown on A6-EBQ to CAI last week, and also due to fly a lie flat configured A/C again to CAI in 2 days.
Currently EK001/002 DXB-LHR is regularly scheduled for a lie flat J class 77W.
I flew an A345 DXB-IKA recently and 77W DXB-DOH (40 mins) Emirates will use whatever is sitting around at DXB!
If anyone needs an idea of loads for non-rev message me and ill try to help.
