I just noticed that AS has quietly announced the rollout of a new special livery 737-400. N706AS will be called the Spirit of Make-A-Wish and is another Disney theme plane featuring the Make-A-Wish foundation.

It is scheduled for rollout this Friday Nov 17th at 9am in SEA at gate C-9. It will then operate as AS496 to SNA.

Hope to see the pictures friday!

Well, I'm asking AS employees with access to SABRE so they can look up that aircraft's rotation for tomorrow.... Smile

Have to second that. Add to the excellent job on the first Disneyland and the Salmon plane.

I was wondering...

Does anyone know what the plans are for Alaska's "Tinkerbell" scheme? That paint job celebrated Disneyland's 50th anniversary. Now that the 50th is officially over at Disneyland, they have eliminated everything at the park that had to do with the 50th Anniversary. Are there plans to repaint the aircraft? I would think if any changes are to be made, they might just paint over the 50 on the tail or something.

Silver, chances are we will not pull it out of service for repainting. When the A/C comes up on repainting time it will go back to AS standard livery most likely. Unless the company has something up its sleeve at that time for another logo jet right then.

By the way. Another option I heard thrown out there was just taking the 50th anniversery off the tail and repainting the tail only. Whith what, I don't know!

That's what I was thinking. I have a feeling Disney would want something to be done to get rid of the 50th logo before the aircraft is ready for repainting.

They (Disneyland) could pay to have the tail painted with the castle from the make a wish plane. It would still look great but be a little more current. I love the way AS keeps up the special liveries.

I like the new logoed plane.  bigthumbsup  It doesn't look as naff as the earlier AS Disneyland-themed plane with Tinkerbell painted on the plane.

Will someone be kind enough to post that aircraft's schedule for the rest of this weekend?

Thanks!
