I was just monitoring JFK tower. A commair said he had flight control problems. Any details ? Apparently vehicles were stationed along the runway etc. He had declared an emergency

The flight declared an emergency and landed at JFK

I do not know any further details, except what I heard him and the tower talking about after landing briefly.

I couldn't tell what was happening but JFK was landing on the 22's at the time and this Comair flight made the approach to 13R. And tower said that the emergency equip was on the roll as he landed.

Looks like delays will be starting in the next few hours because of the big storm front (squall line) approaching.

I think he ment your comment " I was just listening to JFK ATC.."

"No, he landed and hour ago"...

That is an oxymoron... You can't be 'just' listening to something that happened an hour ago,

That would be a contradiction, not an oxymoron.

That is a routine event once a controller or pilot declares an emergency no matter how minor or major, could have been for something like "emergency fuel", as I'd bet the delays were starting to mount in the northeast by that time or hydrolic problems, etc.
