Hey guys,

I was wondering today if anybody knows if the Black Eyed Peas use a biz jet or some chartered aircraft. They have been all around Brazil, Argentina, Chile and this Tuesday they play in SJO. If somebody knows anything about how they are travelling let me know, we could be in for a surprise in SJO!

Thanks,
Tomas.

Probably! When I worked at Sheltair at LGA...I have seen Ne-yo and Common fly out on chartered private jets.

Awesome! Any idea what types of jets they were? I guess since its a whole band they may be using something bigger. How about instruments, I guess most of the stuff is just prepared locally.

Thanks!
Tomas.

When they came to New Zealand they travelled Business Premier on Air New Zealand (NZ), at the time I got to meet them, check out their passports, and wish them all the best. I was quite surprised at how short they all were, I thought they would be taller... anyways was all good and they aparently enjoyed the flight and the service  Smile

Most will charter jets, or fly first class.

Joan Jett- Usually flies commercial.
BB King- Usually commercial.
TUPAC- Used to fly mainly commercial.
Pearl Jam- Both commercial and charter.
Bon Jovi- Usually 707 charters that get stuck in mud.
Kenny Rogers- Usually commercial.

Really depends. If I was in a band, I would fly commercial. Buddy Holly, Patsy Cline, Big Bopper, Aliya, and so many others found that private flying was the end for them.

As with most people who fly private jet it depends on the route and timings. I met a guy on a BA BCN-LHR flight with a Marquis Jets card attached to his bag (along with a BA Premier card) and he said the schedule for the BA flight suited him fine. He ate nothing and drank nothing

Interesting, I will definetly visit SJO Monday afternoon, I am sure they are chartering something, there is no direct flights from Chile to San Jose unless they do it via TACA with a stop in LIM or via Copa with a stop in PTY, who knows.

I do know tonight two nice jets, N909LX (ERJ-135) from Flight Options and N727GP (B727-100) are coming into SJO, both from California. Tomorrow I will be at SJO all day with the hope they will depart!

Thanks guys!
Tomas.
