If one works for an airline and consequently has to travel for business, what is the likelyhood that person would fly in Business Class? If for example a middle line employee from MKT had to travel to the US from London, would they be in Business Class, or are airline quite strict even with their own employees?

Some airlines are strict while others are not. I don't know about anyone else but DL will let you fly up front if it's available, which on transatlantic flights, it usually is.
The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

It's quite common too be able to fly business class while travelling for company business. However it is subject to commercial loads.
One of the only times that I can think of where staff would have a higher priority than a commercial passenger is if there is an Aircraft on ground that needs that member of staff in attendance prior to flying again.
