airTran's new Miami-Midway route, the only non-stop service between the two airports, has shown awesome early results and airTran has already added a second daily more than two months before the first flight was scheduled to start. In addition, they have moved foward the first flight to 11 January 2007, nearly one month before the original 7 February 2007 start date.
Eff. 11 January 2007:

FL 560 MDW 1353-1753 MIA Daily 73G
Eff. 17 February 2007:
FL 573 MIA 0910-1110 MDW Daily 73G
FL 567 MIA 1220-1420 MDW Daily 73G

Great to see airTran's early success on the Miami-Midway route. airTran has deployed a very successful strategy of serving Midway from key business markets that Southwest doesn't - such as Charlotte, Minneapolis, and Boston. Miami definitely follows along this plan. I won't be surprised if San Francisco, another major airport with no MDW service, is next.
Daily Palm Beach-Midway service, also the only non-stop service between the two airports, begins 7 February 2007 as planned.
