I was curious if anyone knows when the airline takes revenue recognition for a ticket sold? Is it the quarter in which the ticket is sold, or the quarter in which the flight is completed?

As each coupon is used it's value will be accounted as flown revenue.

Revenues are recognized when the passenger actually gets on the aircraft, NOT when the passenger buys the ticket.
