YEsturday on Nov 19 I was passing buy T3 at PHX and For the first time in a couple of years I saw NWA DC-10 sitting at the gate. What is up with that? was it a one time thing or is it a regular shed flt.

They will be flying MSP-HNL for sure. I'm not sure but about MEM or DTW but they have stopped DC-10 service to Europe from MSP. Be sure to get on a flight by Jan. 8th, 2007. Thats the last flight for the DC-10's. It will be going HNL-MSP.

There is a thread somewhere that the NW DC-10s will be heading to ATA - 9 of them i think 7 of which will be kept operational and the others for parts i would assume. None to be in scheduled service, only charters. Still will be nice to see some life being used in these ones  Smile

Only scheduled route remaining is MSP-HNL.
They are doing some operational subs, as they did an MSP-SEA last week with a DC-10.
Also sports charters and military charters.

They ferried a -10 to MZJ Monday. I think they'll look sweet in TZ colors. Hopefully they'll paint them up all the way.
