Ok the topic might be a little tricky, anyway I was looking at a google earth shot of YYZ and noticed a red 737 in a gate of terminal number 2, any idea who it might be owned by.

Here is a Screen shot below

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Hmm...that almost looks like an A320, and with the red top I might be willing to take a stab and say its Northwest in the old color scheme. Not 100% sure though!!

It's not a 737, since their forward and aft cargo doors open inward, whereas you can see outward-opening cargo doors on this aircraft...

Alright I am going to take a stab at guessing its the AC 320 that has the Canadian Flag on it?

After taking a closer look it doesnt appear to be it.

It is Terminal 3, Gate B14, normal Northwest gate. Northwest A320.

Looks like Skyservice's seasonal lease A320 from My Travel. Maybe it was going to Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, or Tampa/St Petersburg.

That is terminal 3. If it is a 737 rather than an A320 then it is probably a sun destination charter.

It's not a 737. Check out the following photo:

The 737 in the foreground shows cargo doors that open inward, and the Air Malta Airbus (just behind the 737) shows cargo doors that open outward, just as aircraft in the YYZ satellite photo shows:

My first impression was that it was, but then it has been decided that it is not a 737 and because ZIP only flew the 732 i think it can be determind that it is not a ZIP plane.

Probably a Northwest A320. OPNLguy's zoomed in photo shows wingtips that seem more A320 like and there is the cargo door he mentions. The front of the aircraft looks like a 737 but it could be that there is something else on the ground that is white making the nose look longer and more pointed than it really is.

Definitely not a Zip or a B737. NW A319 or A320 as gate C31 is almost exclusively used by NW at Terminal 3.
Note the location of the NW DC-9 and A320 in the pictures below.

I agree with JetCaptain, It's definately T-3 at YYZ, you'll notice the apron control tower in the middle of the terminal building. Gate B14 is frequently used by Northwest Airlines. While the photo's not dated I would say the aircraft is a Northwest 319/320 in the old colours

Note the location of the NW DC-9 and A320 in the pictures below.

While US Airlines may occasionally gate at pier C (gate C31) at Terminal 3, it is only for the arrival as they can access the Canadian Customs hall from those gates. All US Carriers use pier B at T-3 for departures as it is the only area sectioned off for US Customs preclearance. Gates B-7 to B -20 are used for all flights to the US from T-3. The NW DC 9 shown under the departing KLM is at Pier B while the NW 320 shown in the Lufthanza photo is parked at pier C. I suspect that photo was taken in the early morning before the 320 was moved off the gate and repositioned at pier B

Didn't Air Transat lease a Virgin Express 737 a couple of years ago for Caribbean flights? Could it be that?
