"Royal Air Maroc used to have a direct flight between Casablanca and Rio de Janeiro, but it was cancelled in 1992. In an interview to ANBA in September, Farida Jaïdi, the ambassador of Morocco to Brazil, said the company was planning on flying to Brazil again, but this time in partnership with some Brazilian air company."
Any though on who this brazilian Company might be ?

I don't know, but the only airlines with availability should be BRA and Ocean Air, the last one very soon will establish flights to LAD, JNB and LOS.
I will try to get more info on this.

Well I know for a fact that VASP used to fly to CMN in the 80s, but that airline has ceased to exist for a few years now, and Varig gone bust recently I think, I can only think of TAM. RAM flying to Brazil however is not something that would surprise me very much, due to the large affluent moroccan-jewish community established there (which is very good for filling up First and Biz). but I guess that this time flying to GRU instead of GIG would make more sense.

Varig is still flying but with a limited network and also, they need to resume several important markets like London, New York and Milan. I doubt about Tam because they do not keep available widebodies to run even a single flight. I really can only see Ocean Air and BRA.

It depends on the focus of the Royal Marroc market, but both airports make sense as they keep the same size of connections nowadays. GRU is the airport of the nr 1 place for business and GIG the number 1 for congress, seminars and leisure. The community is shared between Rio and Sao Paulo.
