Hello,
I'm wondering if any US Carriers currently fly to Russia, and or Africa? What kind of equipment do they use? Where do the flights originate from?

Thanks,
David

As stated Delta goes from New York JFK to Moscow (SVO). TWA has the only African flight (also from JFK) to Cairo, Egypt (CAI) and I believe continuing on to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia although I'm not sure if it's Jeddah or Riyadh. This is on a 767-300 as well.
Hope this is helpfull,
Aaron

Ok Aaron, thanks for repeating everything DessertJets and I said. Perhaps Mr. ILUV767 didn't understand and needed confirmation........from you of course.

Let me now confirm something in your post. TW's CAI service continues to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (RUH). Guess what? Its on the very same 767-300ER plane that made the JFK-CAI journey!!! But seeing as CAI is not in either Africa or Russia, well we'll let Mr. ILUV767 determine how germaine it is to this thread.

Alaska serves some eastern russian destinations too, I think. Khabarovsk is certainely one of them.

Alaska dropped their russian flights a couple of years ago.

Reeve took over and I belive still sends a 727 over there once a week.

Reeve certainly do fly to Eastern Russia with a once weekly service to Petropavlosk and Yuzhno-sakhalinsk using their B727-100. This is a scheduled service with charter space available according to their web page.

Prior to Alaska dropping their Russian flights, they had a codeshare with Aeroflot on the SU service Sea-Tac to Moscow.

Sorry to bug you about writing the same thing you did, when I started writing my post there was only the Delta Comment by Desertjets. Then once I posted mine yours was up, as you can see yours went up 3 minutes earliers. Pardon me for not being a very fast typist. I hope I did not upset you in some way.

I think Alaska once flew (I am not sure if they do now) to Vladivostok and Petropavlosk (sp.?), the Russian versions of LA and San Francisco or Seattle.
