I have read and heard that air new zealand will take delivery of 11 new aircraft in 2001 with options to buy or lease 7 more off SIA but I have no idea exactly what they are going to be.
Can anybody help me here.
Thanks Seaview.

I know that one 767-300er is due for delivery this winter and there is talk of more 737-300 aircraft (as the 733 is out of production, slightly used examples). The 767-200 is likely to be phased out in the next couple of years, with the company standardizing on the 767-300. I have not heard that SQ is going to supply aircraft to NZ at this stage, but have read that Ansett International is set for a major expansion. Being that all 3 of the airlines are now so closely related, anything is possible.
Has NZ retired all of their 737-200A aircraft yet?

The 11 aircraft is the combined total for NZ and AN which are now officially considered one airline with 2 brands. Most of these aircraft will be destined for Ansett Int'l. I think NZ is getting a 763 and a second hand 733 whilst AN domestic is getting 2 second hand 733s. It is thought that the planes destined for AN Int'l will probably be leased from SQ.

The big order for AN and NZ domestic is due to be announced in the first qtr of next year but this has been deferred for so long no one is holding their breath.

2 X 737-219 from Air New Zealand are headed for Aviacsa or are probably there.
4 x 737-300 series are coming into the Air New Zealand fleet from the end of this year 3 from Transavia and 1 from Frontier.
A new new 767-300er delivery was to occur in September.
Maybe when ansett make an order for some new planes they might get a few for Air New Zealand as well.
