How many pax would you need in your party for a charter to be worth it (or, are charters ever worth it regardless of pax)?

What is "in the ballpark" for a 737 per hour?

The reason for charters is the fact that you go where or reasonably close to where you want, WHEN you want. Also to skip hassle of airport BS. Charters are always about is it cheaper up front, it's usually about the big picture.

Errr... try 5500 USD per hr min 2 hrs per day add 1000 per overnight away... that's the rate for a F100 over here (see flag)... a 732 shouldn't be that far off...

If you have a party of 150 for a two hour flight; lets say $4000 an hour; that is $55 per person. Sounds good to me.

NCAA football teams here in the US almost all use charters for away games. It's just the best way to go for them. Especially if you have a 7:00 PM kick off. Figure you are done at about 10:00 PM. You would need a flight home at around midnight. When you are talking Pac 10 teams, there are very few flights between say PHX, or LAX and the Northwest. And for Oregon and Oregon State, flying out of EUG makes more sense. There is no mainline service out of EUG at all anymore.

What has me curious, is OSU's charter to HNL this next week...Anyone on the inside know what OSU is flying to the islands? Are they going to just hop ont he PDX-HNL flight on HA??
