Fox 9 News

A bomb was detected in a car at one of the MSP parking ramps. The person said it was not meant to be a bomb even though it looked like one.

It seems like there has been a lot of serious stuff going on at MSP. Like when a dog being trained to smell bombs smelled something in a cash machine at the HHH Terminal, although there was no bomb. Then the US Airways accident a week ago I believe. Now this.

Chances are, there is no bomb. Most initial indications turn out to be false later.

US did not have an accident, if you are talking about the Muslem Clerics. Many people are still jettery about flying with Muslems.

that dog must have been on loan from the German Customs at the Swiss/German border. They are trained to smell money.

I like these excplanation, like that moron here on Germany who said, no we did not actually plan to plant a bomb on a jetliner, they were just kidding.

In July 2004 when there was the London train bomb a went on the light rail in Minneapolis and all of the stations were packed with security guards, none of the guards checked my ticket. I'm sure there was a lot of airport security guards at MSP, especially if there were any London flights going in or out, although the people that were threatening said the threat would be on AA, US, and DL (or UA) flights.

A car inspector I believe was checking out some of the cars. One of them had a strange device and called the Bloomington Bomb Squad. The owner of the device said it was not meant to be a bomb. Search dogs went around the parking ramps sniffing for bombs.

Turns out it was a device used to measure river/stream currents. The lady who owns it happens to be a researcher from Oregon State who picked up the device here in Minneapolis from the University of Minnesota. She put it in the spare tire well of the car because inside the device are pieces of gravel used to simulate a river bed and the pieces fall out easily. She forgot to take it with her. She was going to mail it home as to avoid problems with airport security.
