Quoting HB-IWC (Reply 4): AF171 HAN BKK CDG made an unforseen stop at FRA this morning. The flight arrived at 06.19 local time and left again at 08.20 local time. The flight finally arrived at CDG at 09.38 local time.
Oh, thanks for the info... Do you konw the reason for any chance?

Quoting AirAmericaC46 (Reply 6): anybody knows if AF used 744 CDG-FRA in the past for peak/busy periods?
Even for peak/busy period, AF never uses its B744 on the European network.
They are only used in the summer on ORY-AJA to provide extra capacity and on ORY/CDG-NCE for the same reason during special events like the Cannes Film Festival, or the Grand Prix de Monaco.
The B744 has been used on CDG-LHR in the early 90s when they joined AF's fleet for training the pilots.
They can be used sometimes in Europe on Charter flights for sport events like the Rugby VI Nations tournament, as AF is the Official carrier of the French Rugby team.

According to the flight data system the flight was marked with a T meaning a 'Technical Landing'. Maybe they were too heavy for the flight from BKK to CDG and had to make a fuel stop due to strong headwinds...
I drove out to V161 where it was parked to take some pictures, but the weather was very grim and dark.
