I know that OO/DL was at 3x daily, not sure when it was downgraded. After F9 selects a new regional and adds equipment above the 9 they had with QX, could they possibly add a flight or two.
What about UA reinstating a LAX run with regional equipment rather than a 737 like the good old days? Could UA do a ORD run with a E170 or is that a long shot?
I think that CO & AA are staying well away as a 735 or MD80 may be overkill. BOI couldn't even support a 735 from CO and the ERJ's I don't think would have the legs or demand for that long of a flight.
The gate space is highly limitedbut they could share with both OO/DL (since there is only 2 turns a day) or with Mesa/US (only 3 turns daily). I know for the OO/DL service the airport guaranteed $400K or so and the chamber of commerce got businesses to guarantee an additional $400K worth of tickets to be purchased so a new entrant could get some kick backs of sort. Any thoughts from anyone?

oh good old EUG.
Haven't flown in there in a few years, and after school, don't have much need to.
That said, flying home from thanksgiving, it was crazy how many kids were OSU/UO students. EUG is expensive, might as well go to PDX and catch a ride back.
no insight into new service, would be nice, I assume the new parallel runway is operational?

Sure is, I have even taken off from and landed on it, it's a little odd when you are used to a bigger runway though. Longer taxi times though. It is convenient for the self serve gas. Nice runway, they say it will mainly be for the GA.

So true, I live in PDX now so not much need for flights from EUG but all the family still lives there. It has been a while since new flights were added, other than the LAX and SLC flights which have been going for 1+ year now. It is a great airport with short lines and convenient parking. I flew out of there Aug 05 with the non-stop to LAS and was surprised out how comfortable it still is, although PDX is still a little nicer and a hell of a lot better for spotting.
