Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion said that the move meant Ryanair's takeover attempt "isn't going away anytime soon".

Seems as if they are adamant to prove they are serious about the takeover....

Thoughts?

Thanks

Alex, have a look at the Irish Aviation Thread No22 (we'll be starting No23 soon); this is discussed in detail.

A very interesting move (the FR share increase); it surprised me. I had thought they might reduce their shareholding when it became clear that they would not (at this stage) win out. However, they are not going to give up easily!

There is a lot more to go in this story - head to the Irish aviation thread and find out!
