No news stories - I'm guessing it was precautionary?
I remember shooting pics one day on top of T3 and seeing lots of emergency vehicles suddenly pour onto the ramp. In addition to the ARFF vehicles, a ton of local PHX fire and no less than 10 ambo's showed up. I tuned into the south approach and found out there was an MD-80 with hydraulic issues on approach - landing was without incident (as these usually are), but it was a little wierd to see an MD-80 land with the gear doors down. When it parked at the gate, gear doors, flaps, and slats remained deployed. No one hurt, but they pulled out all the stops just in case.
