I have been trying to find out the new seat pitch for SQ's New First, Business, and Economy on the 777-300ERs (and the A380s). Does anyone know what it is? Thanks.

myabe I'm just stupid but how do you get a 76in fully flat bed into a 51in pitch??? the present biz class seats are often just over 60in length in a 60in pitch

I was surprised at seeing that. You would think that a 76-inch bed would be just a bit larger than 51-inch pitch......there may be an error in those stats......

Are they turned sideways at all?

IIRC you sleep at a diagonal angle so that your feet and head are in 'cubby holes', for want of a better word, so that the bed is long but the seat pitch isn't ridiculous and taking up too much space.

So, the Y seat pitch is still 32 inches. How is it more space than before as stated in the blurb ? Does the new design lead to more personal space and less intrusion (I find SQ Y seat recline too much so that if the person in front reclines, forget about enjoying the Krisworld without a neckache).

Legroom has increased by 5cm for passengers in the New Economy Class - More Comfort Than Ever.

One presumes this is due to the design of the seats.

Yes. It's two rows of 1+2+1.

To go to sleep, you exit the seat and set it to the full-recline position. Then a stewardess adjusts the cushions to allow the passenger to sleep at an angle, offering 76" of length to stretch out in.

Does anybody think the F Class of SIA's 380 and 77W is any better than the F Class of Emirates' 345? Emirates' 345 F Class is the world's best private cabin suite I've ever seen so far. Just look at the photos and see for yourself! Am I mistaken with that comparison or not? Thanks.

I'd take SQ's 77W F over EK's A345 for the size of the seat and the LCD. Also, SQ is supposed to be going to "private suites" for their A388s, so that should offer the opulence of the SQ product with the privacy of the EK product.
