Does anyone know the font that is used to spell "Pan Am" on the planes, signs, banners,....everything. I haven't found it yet, but I think it's wonderful. It would be great to use on a daily basis.

I don't think there's a particular name for the font. They're just letters that were shaped over time to look like the final version developed in the mid 70's, Yet even thought, they're so old now, they still look awesome and powerfull.

to update their livery 'Pan Am' should be dropped from the logo and replaced with a single horizontal white line, it will look even classier

.....up there with the best!

I don't believe that there is such as thing as a PanAm font. The logo consists of custom drawn/modified letterforms. The closest I can find is Americana Extra Bold sold by Adobe at www.adobe.com.
